DUE TO BLUE JEAN SUNDAY there is no Coffee hour today. Donations can be
dropped off until Tuesday, September 26th at noon. Please use the East side door (nearest
the Parsonage). Push the doorbell and you’ll be ‘buzzed’ in. If you need later drop off
times please call the church office. Volunteers are needed from set-up Wednesday,
September 20th until clean up on Saturday, September 30th. Late volunteer date,
Tuesday, September 26th, 5:30/ 6:00 until 8:00/ 8:30 p.m. Please contact Thelma Poet

CALLING ALL HIGH SCHOOL GRADS, COLLEGE & TRADE SCHOOL
STUDENTS Christian Education is in need of all college, trade school, and “2017”
High School graduate addresses. In addition, we would like your picture to include on
our “YOUNG ADULT, MOVING FORWARD” bulletin board. Please forward all
information and pictures to Pastor Cheryl Schalm.
Christian Education will be sponsoring their annual “Advent by Candlelight” program on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 6:45-8:45 PM. This is where one woman hosts a table and asks about 7 other ladies to join her for an advent program, fellowship and dessert. There will be a sign-up sheet during coffee hour all through October and November, or you can email Debbie Case debbiescase@aol.com) It is quite easy to be a hostess and I will have envelopes for each hostess with all the information. There will be another sign-up sheet for ladies that do not want to host a table but would like to attend. We will do our best to find a place for every lady that would like to attend. Deadline to sign up is Sunday, Nov. 19th. I will need to know total numbers at each table by Nov. 26. The table arrangement in the hall is based on the order that you sign your group up by. Because I will be out of town a lot in October, you will be better able to sign up by emailing me and then I can email the hostess papers to you.
Mark your calendars for our Annual Scrapbook Crop on Sat. Feb. 3, from 9 AM- 7 PM. The cost is $40. This includes your cropping space, three meals, as well as snacks and beverages all day. There will be venders, make and takes, demos, and raffles. Even if you do not want to scrapbook, there will be something for everyone as you shop with our venders. If you are a vender, or know of a vender, and they might be interested, please let me know. We will be needing raffle and door prizes, as well as people to help that day. This is a big fundraiser for BOF and the Christian Education Ministries. Please contact Debbie Case at debbiescase@aol.com if you would like more information.
CHILDREN’S CHOIR will begin Sunday, October 1, 2017 after the 10:30 a.m. service.
We will gather in the West Room to practice our songs. All children up to and including
6th grade are invited to join. All interested children should gather in the West Room at
11:30 a.m. next Sunday. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Children’s
Choir Director, Sally Sigman. Looking forward to seeing you in choir next Sunday!
HEALTH MINISTRIES - Exercise Classes - Exercise is important to our health. We
are doing enhanced fitness at 2:00 p.m. on Mondays & Wednesdays in the West Room
beginning October 2nd. Can be done standing or sitting. Free will love offering is invited to
offset costs ($3.00 - 5.00 suggested). Need 10-15 persons to hold the class. A Matter of
Balance - The next 8-week session class for those having problems with balance or fear of
falling is scheduled to begin Monday, October 2 at 12:45-2:45 p.m. The last session was
well received. Please make out a make a wish card, contact the office or Kathy Williams if
you are interested or have questions. You need to register prior to class with Kathy at church
or LaShawn at 800.482.1455. Flyers are available in the West Lobby or see the attachment.
Shalom – Chronic disease group meeting. Our next meeting September 11th at 1 PM.

West Room. Bring $5. Bunco is easy you don’t need to know how to play. Wear a costume

THE OFFICE IS COLLECTING NAMES & ADDRESSES of soldiers currently
deployed overseas for a “Soldiers Around the World” outreach program. Church
member, Betty Caufield, volunteers for this important project which sends food and care
packages to men and women in our Armed Services who are defending our nation and
upholding peace abroad. Please complete a Make-A-Wish card (found in the pew racks)
with the name and address of an overseas soldier you know who can benefit from this
caring outreach.
OUR NEW E-MAIL SYSTEM is now functional, and as a member you can now
