Spirit of God, we have gathered together in this place to pray and to make

ourselves ready for your coming.  Give us faith that when you come like the wind,

though we do not see you, yet we may hear what you are saying to us and discern

your movement.  Give us courage, that we may not fear the tongue of flame: let all

that is unworthy, impure, and sinful be burned from our lives.  May we know that

it is love that burns so brightly and love that strips away our sin.  Give us an open

heart, Lord that we may seek all people for your realm, and set no limits to the

proclaiming of your word.  Holy Spirit, with the whole church we wait for you in

every place and in every generation.  Come, wind. Come, fire.  Come, truth.

Come, love.  In Jesus’ name.  Amen.

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS SOUGHT
Over the course of the

summer children will have the opportunity to learn how to apply God’s word to their

daily living.  Through Biblical lessons and activities, the children will explore God’s

word and discover for themselves how they are called to apply these lessons to their

everyday life. In order for the summer Sunday School program to be successful adults are

needed to lead the weekly lessons.  The summer Sunday School program will begin on

June 18th and conclude on September 10th with Rally Sunday and the Sunday School

Open House.  Due to lower attendance over the summer all children pre-school through

fifth grade will meet together in the upstairs’ West Room.  Older youth will meet with

Pastor Schalm in the Senior High classroom.  Please consider visiting the Welcome

Center on Sunday to select a date to share your faith with the children of St. Paul.  All

curriculum, materials and snacks are provided.
