ST. PAUL MEN’S FELLOWSHIP is sponsoring its second annual St. Paul Euchre Night. The date is Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 6:00 – 11:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall here at St. Paul. There will be cash prizes, 50/50 raffle, pizza, snacks and beverages. The cost is $10 / person in advance and $12 / person at the door. No partner is required since we will be playing Progressive Euchre which puts individual players against each other. Tickets can be purchased at the KIOSK table during Coffee Hour beginning on Sunday, December 4th or by calling the church office at 313-291-1221. MARK YOUR PLANNERS for our Annual Scrapbook Crop on Saturday, February 4th,
from 9 AM- 7 PM. The cost is $40. This includes your cropping space, three meals, as well
as snacks and beverages all day. There will be venders, make and takes, demos, and raffles.
Even if you do not want to scrapbook, there will be something for everyone as you shop
with our venders. If you are a vender, or know of a vender, that might be interested, please
let me know. We will need raffle and door prizes, as well as people to help that day. This
is a big fundraiser for BOF and the Christian Education Ministries. Please contact Debbie

OUR CHURCH’S CHARTERED BOY SCOUT TROOP #825 is hosting their annual pancake breakfast for the congregation in Fellowship Hall from 8 a.m.-12 noon on Sunday, February 12th. The morning menu will include plain, blueberry, and pineapple buttermilk pancakes, along with sausage, juice, and a choice of beverages. Breakfast tickets will be $5-adults; $3-children (3-11). That same morning, our Girl Scout Troop #74590 will be selling cookies in Fellowship Hall.
ST. PAUL SOUPER BOWL IV is today from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. A simple donation
of $7.00 buy’s you a spoon, a support tray (holds 6 bowls of soup) and will allow you to
taste a variety of amazing soups prepared by local businesses as well as our own member-
ship. All profits will go to support the “Building Our Future” fund.

ST. PAUL BUILDING & GROUNDS MINISTRY will be hosting its 10th Annual Wild
Game Dinner on Thursday, February 9th. Doors open at 5:30 pm, hors d’oeuvres at 6:00
p.m. and a sit-down dinner at 7:00 pm. It’s a fun filled evening with lots of raffles, good
eating and great fellowship. This year’s event will feature Buffalo, Wild Boar, Venison,
Salmon, Turtle, Squirrel and more. Tickets are $30/each and can be purchased at the KIOSK
table during Coffee Hour, by calling the Church office at 313-291-1221 or by calling
Candace Poet, James Poet, Gary Staffeld or Dan Case. We are also looking for donations of
wild game and any items that can be used for the raffles.
THE 2017 ST. PAUL FISH DINNERS ARE COMING! This year we will be making our famous St. Paul coleslaw on Saturday, February 25th beginning at 9:00 AM in the Church kitchen. Depending on how many people participate it takes anywhere from two to three hours to make the (20) five gallon pails of coleslaw required. Any time you can give is appreciated. Please contact Jim Poet, Dan Case or the Church Office at 313-291-1221 if you need more information or want to volunteer to help.
THE BUILDING AND GROUNDS MINISTRY is looking for volunteers for two upcoming events. The first is our Annual Table Cleaning Workday, this year the event will be held on Friday, February 10th and Saturday, February 11 beginning at 9:00 am. The second event is our annual kitchen clean-up which will be held on Saturday, March 4th beginning at 9:00 am. Both events will help us prepare for the 2017 Lenten Fish Dinners. All cleaning supplies will be furnished. Just bring yourself and some elbow grease. Any time you can give is greatly appreciated. HEALTH MINISTRIES – Exercise Classes – Exercise is important to our health. We are doing Zumbato a DVD or an alternate video at 4 PM on Mondays in the West Room unless otherwise advertised. Just show up and join in the fun & fellowship! Zumba can be done at your own pace and modified to your ability.
Shalom– Chronic disease group meeting. Our February meeting is Monday the 13th at 1:00 p.m.
Health/Medical supplies –If you have or need medical supplies, such as walkers, wheelchairs, unopened packages of diapers, diabetic supplies, etc., please contact Kathy Williams.
‘SMALL STEPS TO A BIG FAITH: The Journey of the Beatitudes’ Book Discussion. It’s a simple book. But an inspired one on how Jesus’ famous beatitudes can help us reset the course for our own lives. Participants will meet in the parlor at St. Paul Church on January 29 and February 5 and 12, 7-8:30 p.m. Through small group conversation—book in hand as our guide-- we will explore how Jesus’ truth and wisdom can help us take small steps to a big faith and a happier life. Pastor Geoff Drutchas will led the series. Copies of the book are available through the church office. You may reserve a book by completing a Make-A-Wish card from the sanctuary pews and adding it to the morning offering plate.

Mission Trip and outreach programs.

LEAVES FOR OUR CONGREGATION’S “Tree of Faith” continue to be available for
those who wish to honor or commemorate family members and events. The cost of each leaf
is $300 with proceeds helping to fund “A Room with a View.” The tree is located in the
narthex, just outside the entrance to the new “Family Room”. Those who wish to have a leaf
placed on the tree are encouraged pick your leaf from those available (see sign-up sheet) and
to complete a blue card available in the pew racks or by going to the Church Website

new highly secure electronic giving site. Purchases can be debited automatically from your
